Welcome to the homepages for the Welsh Economy Research Unit. WERU is part of Cardiff Business School, at Cardiff University. WERU aims include:

  • conducting research into the Welsh economy.
  • coordinating and promoting Cardiff Business School research activity on the Welsh economy.
  • providing information and analysis of economic issues in Wales.
  • disseminating the results of research into Wales via published papers, consultancy reports and seminars on the Welsh economy.
  • producing the Welsh Economic Review, the Spring 2011 edition of which is now online.

The 2007 version of the Input-Output Tables for Wales is available in PDF form here. The 2007 Tourism Satellite Account for Wales is also available here.

WERU members are involved in the ESRC funded Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS).
