Cardiff Business School Postgraduate teaching centre

Facilities

Our £13.5 million Postgraduate Teaching Centre houses the School's growing postgraduate education programmes.

Here, professionals receiving training on our various short courses mix with full time students studying for Masters level qualifications.

Concourse

The open plan foyer of the building offers large seating areas and a coffee shop for group collaboration, networking or unwinding between lectures.

On entering the building, visitors will be met with the Donor Wall, listing the names of all who have supported the development of the Centre. For more detail, check our list of sponsorship opportunities.

Trading room

The Trading Room is the largest of its kind in Wales, providing a 56 capacity trading floor. The room provides students with the opportunity to gain the practical skills required for life at the Stock Exchange.

Lecture theatres

Our two marquee auditoria are amongst the first in the University to feature lecture capture facilities. Recording lectures from these theatres allows us to cater for more learning styles and offer our programmes to a much wider audience.

Executive Education suite

To compliment the growth of our short course and part time programmes, a floor of the building is dedicated to Executive Education

The suite is split evenly between informal lounge areas and more traditional learning spaces. The relaxed atmosphere makes it the ideal place to host your company training or small conference.

Teaching rooms

Our twelve learning spaces vary in size to accomodate the broad range of groups we teach. With retractable walls and moveable furniture, these rooms are reconfigurable to match the needs of our staff and students.

Common rooms

Two postgraduate common rooms allow students to study and socialise together. Both rooms have been designed to facilitate informal learning and group working.
