22nd Apr 2011
On 18th May 2011 the highly distinguished economics commentator Will Hutton will deliver a free public lecture, The World after the Crisis, recovery or relapse?
The lecture is the last in the Cardiff Business School Lecture Series 2010, hosted in collaboration with the School of History, Architecture and Religion.
Will Hutton is executive vice chair of The Work Foundation. He has worked both on radio and on TV and spent four years as editor-in-chief of the Observer. Most recently, he has been asked by the Prime Minister to chair the Public Sector Fair Pay Review.
His best-known book is probably The State We're In (1995), seen at the time as setting the scene for the Blair revolution. He is currently working on Them and Us – a timely examination of fairness and due dessert in the current economic climate. Will Hutton's experience and his writing and broadcasting all mean that his talk will directly address the key issues currently faced by the UK.
The lecture will be held in the Julian Hodge Building, commencing at 6:30pm, with a drinks reception preceding it at 5:45pm. If you would like to attend, please email carbs-conference@cf.ac.uk
