Cardiff Business School was pleased to play host to His Excellency Rajesh N Prasad, Deputy High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, when he visited the School on March 15th.
The Deputy High Commissioner was formally received by Professor George Boyne, the Dean of the School, and had the opportunity to meet with Indian students currently enrolled on the MBA programme as well as taking a tour of the facilities, including the School's Trading Room.
Professor Hywel Thomas, the University's Pro Vice-Chancellor for Engagement and International, began the proceedings with a presentation about the University and its links with India. This focussed on recruitment activity in India and the commitment to maintaining and strengthening the relationship with Indian institutions; both of which were then showcased at a School level by Dr Andrew Glanfield, the Director of Administration.
Students in attendance spoke about their studies at Cardiff Business School and their impressions of living in the UK, responding to questions from the Deputy High Commissioner to say that the course was demanding but rewarding and that they were enjoying their time in Cardiff, with all those presenting expressing a desire to stay on and work in the UK once their studies conclude.
Cardiff is one of Europe's youngest capital cities. Compact, green, friendly and full of life, it provides a first class environment in which to live and study.
