Postdoctoral Researchers and PhD Students
CAFBRU members have trained 10 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. The details of some of them are given below. We welcome more highly qualified PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

Dr Suchang Yang Postdoctoral Researcher in 2002-2003. Topic: State Auditing Reform in China. Supervisors: Prof. Jason Xiao and Professor Maurice Pendlebury.

Mr Jim Gang Wei Topic: Corporate governance and corporate performance in China. Supervisory committee: Prof. Jason Xiao , Prof. Nick Travlos and Dr Joe Hong Zou. Jim won an ORS prize and a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2005.

Ms Rongli Yuan PhD student. Topic: The role of financial institutions in corporate governance of listed chinese companies. Supervisory committee: Prof. Jason Xiao, Professor Nikos Milonas, Dr Joe Hong Zou, and Professor Sean Zhihua Xie. Rongli is winner of an ORS prize and a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2005.

Ms Jing Huang PhD student. Topic: Determinants of audit fee and audit quality in China. Supervisory committee: Prof. Jason Xiao, Professor Mike Peel, Professor Mahmoud Ezzamel and Professor Shuang Li. Jing won a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2005.

Ms Jing Chen PhD student. Topic: Managerial compensation and ownership and corporate performance, a UK and China compensation. Supervisory committee: Professor Mahmoud Ezzamel, Prof. Jason Xiao, and Professor Mike Peel. Jing won a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2009.

Ms Yuanyuan Hu PhD student. Topic: Corporate social and environment reporting in China. Supervisory committee: Dr Yusuf Karbhari. Yuanyuan won a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2006.

Ms Rhea Yuezhao Chen PhD student. Topic: Agency issues in China. Supervisory committee: Prof. Jason Xiao and Dr Yusuf Karbhari. Rhea is winner of an ORS award and a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2010.

Ms Catherine Huirong Chen PhD student. Topic: Determinants of Managerial Compensation in China. Supervisory committee: Prof. Mahmoud Ezzamel, Prof. Jason Xiao and Prof. Bob McNabb. Catherine is winner of an ORS award and a Cardiff Business School scholarship. Completed in 2006.
