Welcome to Cardiff Business School

Cardiff Business School is one of the leading business and management schools in the UK. In the most recent UK Government Research Assessment Exercise, the School was ranked fourth for the quality of its research.

We educate over 2,600 students each year, 1,000 of those at postgraduate taught level. In addition, we have a thriving PhD programme of over 100 students. We are a popular choice for students across the globe: we have over 60 nationalities represented at any one time, giving a truly international experience.

Our entry standards for students are demanding, with prospective undergraduate students needing to achieve AAB or higher at A-level or equivalent qualification.

We are committed to being a socially responsible business school, delivering our research expertise to the audiences that can best use it and working with businesses, public sector organisations and the voluntary sector to address their challenges.

A cornerstone of this social responsibility is a commitment to offering a high-quality education to the most capable students, regardless of their background. Our faculty are very aware that the new undergraduate fee structure in UK Higher Education could mean that students from non-traditional backgrounds could be deterred from pursuing a university education. We are committed to providing ways to help those students who dismiss the idea of going to university because of financial concerns.

With approximately 250 staff and a professoriate of over 50, the School engages with a wide spectrum of different stakeholders. Our faculty members provide expert opinion to governments and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), provide media commentary on a wide range of global issues, and provide guest lectures and seminars not only in the UK but across the globe. In addition, the Business School hosts an annual lecture series, bringing the most senior business people and policy makers to Cardiff so that the wider community can benefit from their experiences.
